Redescubre Barcelona — Proyecto UX/UI

Web Development project based on the city I’ve lived for most of my life. I’ve always thought about why so many tourists sites didn’t show more about the hidden parts of Barcelona, of why they didn’t use the incredible history of the city to create routes based on them. So that’s what this UX/UI experience is about.

Choosing the color palette wasn’t too complicated at first, as I wanted something neutral, something easy to show and that couldn’t spoil too much of the surprise as it’s a Travelling website about more than one topic.

Here’s an example of most the Routes you can find on the page, each one accompanied by pictures and maps, maps where subway stops, bus stops and historical buildings are highlighted

The names are hyperlinked, which means that clicking on them brings you to a whole new page with each Route explained carefully with image examples.

The Routes are based on literature, art, history, artists, and more.

Then at the Gallery, there’s also more images with hyperlinks sending you to each Route’s page with more information on the streets where you can find this or that.

The Contact and Registry form are accompanied by a google maps to show our location in case you ever feel like visiting us!

You can also forward us a brand new Route suggestion that we might not be showcasing for our clients/audience.

There is an algorythm where you can get a Route detail suggested aleatory in case your group are stuck with a choice.

You can submit your images to us and find our schedule and contact us on our email for more information on group guides, prices, etc.

Thank you for joining me on my first web design experience! And here’s to many, many more to come! :)
